I first began teaching in 1990, as Primary school teacher in Queensland, Australia. In the course of my career I have taught all year levels in Primary, and was Teacher-in-Charge at a Preschool, a teacher at School of Distance Education in outback Queensland, taught in London as a Supply Teacher, and was a Principal of a One Teacher School with 16 students from Yrs 1-7.
Like so many teachers who wear the hat of “Mum” as well – I took time away from teaching to raise my family, and this year have joined the ranks of teachers making the decision to leap back into the classroom, studying full-time at Uni to complete my Upgrade course.
Recalibrating my smartboard is just one of many new skills and talents I will need to arm myself with, as I become an educator in the 21st Century.
I am Mrs.T – Lifelong Learner.
